Ahmet Bulut

He received his BS in Computer Engineering from Bilkent University in 2000, and his PhD in Computer Science from University of California Santa Barbara in 2005. He worked as a Research Scientist at Citrix Online on scalable and highly available internet services and as a Senior Research Engineer at Like.com, a Silicon Valley e-commerce startup. He works on Networked Data Analysis and Internet Advertising (at scale).

Baris Aslan

He received the B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, USA. He was with Intel Corporation, Marvell Semiconductor and Qualcomm Inc. from 2005 to 2013, driving structural test efforts for state-of-the-art SoCs, and most recently the design-for-test strategy for the Qualcomm Adreno family of GPUs. Shervin Shirmohammadi

Shervin Shirmohammadi holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Canada. He conducts research in Multimedia Systems and Networks, specifically in video systems and networks, gaming systems and networks, and their applications in tele health care. He is an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, a Senior Member of the IEEE, and a Professional Member of the ACM.

Research Interests: Multimedia Systems and Networks, and their application in Biomedical Systems

Tarik Arici

Dr. Tarik Arici received his PhD degree in 2009 from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. During his PhD he has worked in VESTEL's Pixellence project and has designed algorithms that were patented in Europe and US. He has worked at NVIDIA in Silicon Valley between 2008 and 2010, where he designed and implemented patented algorithms that run on the GPU and is currently in NVIDIA's video drivers. He has international publications in the fields of image and video processing and sensor networks. After joining Istanbul Sehir University he has received EU Marie Curie CIG (Career Reintegration Grant).
